Electoral Registers

These tables show the people who were registered to vote in each property from the date the house was built until 1988 (the except for the War Years 1939-1944) and then the year 2004. Work is being undertaken to complete the remaining years

Eligibility to vote depended at varying times on financial standing, age and gender. So not every adult in the household is shown particularly in the years before 1920.

There some gaps in the data and some names are missing as in some instances it is not possible to identify where a particular name on the Register actually lived. Some residents simply declared to living in the Road (often before names or numbers were given to houses) and some residents gave their house a name which is no longer used for that property. Some residents were unregistered.

The entries for 1939 are taken from the National Register compiled on the outbreak of the Second World War and so show all adults and children (except those currently living which are shown in brackets as redacted.)

Simply click on the number to see the house name, the date it was built and the people registered.
